Recordist's notes
The Methodist Church sits at the bottom of the hill as you drive into our neighborhood. This morning, they held Easter Service in the parking lot. It was calm, with only a slight breeze. Sounds from the service- music, worship, and the prayers for those suffering during the pandemic- drifted up the street towards my house and mixed with the sounds of birds, kids walking dogs, passing cars, distant freight train moving through our little town, and even the Easter bunny passing by on his harley. Warm sun and blue skies a welcome change after the long, grey winter in the PNW. I used a TASCAM DR-40, which was a gift from my mentor at the low power, volunteer radio station KXRW Vancouver. I mounted it to a PVC pipe, and placed it on the tripod of an old music stand.
