Recordist's notes
I sat under this tree in a comfortable chair for most of my visit to Mull overlooking the loch. As the weather changed throughout the day and night I made recordings of the environment. The tide came in and out various winds arrived along with all the birds and animals visiting the shore. To the left of me were a line of pine trees that sang even with the slightest of breezes, and to the left was a hillside with a series of small waterfalls running down its slope. I became aware of the sounds the branches of the tree were making in the various winds and used a pair of contact mics to make the recording. Sony M10.
Context
This recording was made away from larger towns, about 76 km from the nearest city in our gazetteer.
