Recordist's notes
near Kilchiaran Bay on the west coast of Islay is a wonderful blow hole. This recording is an extract from a recording made in a narrow fissure a couple of metres from the main blow hole. I suspended a pair of microphones (omnis based of Primo capsules) fixed to a coat hanger (thanks Chris Watson) into the cavern by about 2 metres recording to an Olympus LS 14.
Context
This recording was made away from larger towns, about 71 km from the nearest city in our gazetteer.
