Recordist's notes
From the second story of the 1915 Prichard Barn, located on the grounds of the Dickinson County Heritage Center, a number of sounds are heard. Just to the south, the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroads steam engine (Santa Fe 4-6-2- Pacific #3415) passes by. To the northwest, the Centers 1901 C.W. Parker carousel operates, as a visitor rings the bell near the schoolhouse (northeast). Further to the south, amplified sounds from the Trails, Rails & Tales festival can be heard, followed by footsteps on the wood floor. Stereo mics (Audiotalaia-Primo ECM 172), recorded via Olympus LS-10.
