Recordist's notes
Water sounds and rumbling from the water wheel, located on the north side of the reconstructed Hoffman Grist Mill in Enterprise. A sump pump pulls the water out of the small reservoir, below the wheel, and carries it to the top. The force of the water hitting the blades causes the wheel to turn. The operator of the mill says the generated power still greatly exceeds the electricity that powers the pump. Horn from nearby diesel train, operated by the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad. Drop of water hits left mic at 0:28. Stereo mics (Audiotalaia-Primo ECM 172), recorded via Olympus LS-10.
