Recordist's notes
This is the sound of the underpass which travels beneath the busy ring road around Oxford. The underpass is favoured by cyclists who cannot safely cross the insanely busy A road above, and by pedestrians. You can hear the parallel stacks of traffic; the heavy cars and lorries above and the delicate bicycle pings and rattles below. You can also hear the recorder bouncing a bit on me as I walked, and the unsatisfactory clicks of my holding the little Naiant X-X microphones I used in my little woolly mittens. Must make a better/quieter rig for those.
