Recordist's notes
Soundscape of Lahania village at 04:30 in the morning. Still dark, no sign of the dawn. Calm, no wind. Every now and then distant dogs, then all at once a distant aeroplane, cocks start crowing, a Scops Owl and some dogs join in. After a while all calms down again. Binaural recording. Artificial head microphone set up on the terasse. Microphone facing south east. Recorded with a Sound Devices 702 field recorder and a modified Crown - SASS setup incorporating two Sennheiser mkh 20 microphones.

This recording was made away from larger towns, about 62 km from the nearest city in our gazetteer.
