Recordist's notes

A stationary recording captured from a platform at London Bridge Station while awaiting a transit connection. The soundscape is characterised by a dense layering of overlapping mechanical elements: train arrivals and departures, automated station announcements, the low-frequency rumble of idling motors, pneumatic door operations, and a variety of electronic alerts and system hisses. Sounds from adjacent platforms create a complex sense of vertical and horizontal depth. Recorded with a Tascam DR-05X. 24°C and Partly Cloudy, 12.7 km/h.
