Recordist's notes

To record this interview with Mary, we were hiding in Mary’s car from the sun and the general busyness outside. Rehearsals with 260 young musicians and performers inside Old Independence Stadium for the Zone 6 Youth Sports Games are still ongoing, while Mary describes to me, and our future listeners, how theatre can respond to the needs of a community and how dramatic re-enactment can inspire change, for example in schools… http://www.tikambilanie.org/whoweare/KCA/Kamoto.htm Mary Manzole is an actress, theatre director, educator, founder member of Zambia Popular Theatre Alliance (ZAPOTA), and artistic director at Kamoto Community Arts.
