Recordist's notes
A dead tree moving against another in the wind created unpredictable rhythms and patterns of creaks. The internal sounds can be heard by putting your ear on the trunk and were recorded with a contact mic. The external sounds were also recorded in sync. This track is mix that moves from the outside to the inside of the tree and back. Inside the wind blowing through the tree top creates lovely, but quiet, bass frequencies. Outside a chiffchaff calls nearby and later a blackbird sings.
