Recordist's notes

The microphones are suspended out of a high window overlooking the wide Severn Valley catching the sounds at 3am from a considerable distance. The sleeper inside the room, revving cars, planes, a notification on an iphone, owls, a pheasant encountering a drama of some kind, a horse and a sheep are all ingredients of this simple textural piece celebrating the ordinary. No edits, effects or filters and exactly as the microphones heard it. MixPre 6 II with 2 Sennheiser MKH 8020s
