Recordist's notes

I was recording the ducks and pigeons by the fence around the lake when this couple strode up very close. They ignored me and the mics etc, spoke and strode off as if I didn't exist. it's not a classic event but people are my favourite wildlife subjects. MixPre 3 with 2 x Beyer Lavaliers. Incidentally these Beyer MCE 5 mics are very old, not made any more but have an excellent sound. Sadly one is ailing with a reduced output but they seem impervious to heavy rain. I plan to replace them with DPA 4060s when the funds become available.
