Recordist's notes

Just before dawn and part of an overnight recording. In the forground a female mallard and her 6 ducklings vocalise and disturb the pond water. A muntjac calls in the background from the slopes of the Malvern Hills. 2 minutes from the end mice are heard running around the microphones and distant traffic begins the day. This is an attempt to use longer clips to provide an experience of the recording location. MixPre 6 II with 2 Sennheiser MKH 8020s. The ducks are 10ft away and the muntjac half a mile from the microphones which are on a wooden deck at the edge of the garden pond.
