Recordist's notes
Spring thaw rivulets of water trickle down into a cave formed by an abandoned mica mine. At the bottom a large porcupine sits at the entrance to its den. It isn't making any noise but occasionally you can hear it shift position as it watches us looking down from above. Recorded with Telinga parabolic mic and Tascam DR-680.
