Recordist's notes
When I came home to Nortower Lodges, where I stayed in Shetland for Shetland Wool Week and for the North Atlantic Sheep and Wool conference, I heard a lot of baaing in the fields. I think this was the day when the ewes were separated from their ram lambs and the lambs were sent for meat. It was a lot of baaing, late into the night and I stood for a while and listened before heading to my bed.
