Recordist's notes

A narrow guage steam train makes the easy descent from the highest point on this railway in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The recorder and two mics are on the floor of the guard's van and the shotgun pointing along the length of the short train through an open doorway. There are glimpses of the Welsh accent and sounds of the train. MixPre 3 with 2 x Rode NT5s + Rode NTG3. I always use omni capsules on the NT5s.
