Recordist's notes
A windy day on Teufelsberg with a background of forest, the distant city and a passing jet plane. Birds come and go, occasionally close. Buzzards call in flight, a tree creeper's high pitched squeak is nearby and blackcap bursts into full song. Teufelsberg, the highest peak in Berlin, is man made - built of rubble and debris from WW2. The forest one now sees is very young, having existed only since the 1970s. It is heavily populated by invasive species such as accacias, quite different from the Grunewald forest that surrounds it.
