Recordist's notes
This recording was made by putting the EDIROL R09 up as close as possible to the little speakers that are mounted on some traffic lights around Belgium. The sound is there I think to assist visually impaired folk to navigate the roads, and the traffic light system seems to sense the volume of the traffic around the lights, as when traffic (and volume of sound) increases, so too do the beeps which convey whether or not it's safe to cross the road.
