Recordist's notes

Spring peepers (chorus frogs) announce the beginning of spring. I sat on the side of the levee and recorded these frogs about 250 feet away from their seasonal pond. From prior experience I knew if I got any closer they would cease calling. As a result, there are also the sounds from the nearby concrete plant, birds circling overhead, planes and traffic.
