Recordist's notes

Blackbirds sing in the background. This track was uploaded in July 2026, but recorded almost 20 years. before in 2007. Then, the lady pushing a pram of possessions used to pass by every now and again, often singing. But I have not seen her for many years even though I am regularly in the area. Today, she symbolises a London that has long gone. I'm saddened while listening to it and feel that something is lost. Even the traffic sound different, speed bumps have been put in the neighbourhood and road layouts changed, as a result there are fewer cars and they drive more slowly. At least blackbirds can still be heard.
