Recordist's notes

The hottest day of the year coincides with the the Hasidic Rosh Hashanah celebrations. Tonight brings an unbelievably loud street party in the humid air. They're rocking the whole neighbourhood - this recording is from 0.5km away. The soupy, sweaty, atmopshere washes in through my window mixed with planes and traffic. A motor bike suddenly roars in the sonic mush.
