Recordist's notes
Recorded just a few miles from Chicago's O'Hare airport, this clip showcases a huge swarm of cicadas buzzing away in the middle of a Summer afternoon. This was made on a side street near a large schoolyard on a hot July day with little wind or interference. I used a Tascam Dr-07 with wind screen. You can also hear a nearby train and a few planes approaching the airport. Many more field recordings, sound collages, and mixtapes available on soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/rjsfoundsounds
