Recordist's notes

The temperature is 3C at 3.50am. A distant cockerel crows, two owls move in attracted by the mice feeding on bread on the wooden deck where the microphones are placed, a high jet passes over joined by a second jet, scrabbling sounds from the mice or another animal. I hope the very low frequencies survive the internet conversions. They may be enhanced by the wooden deck. This is an abstract from an overnight recording from 10pm - 7am. MixPre 6 II with 2 Sennheiser MKH 8020s covered by layers of synthetic felt to protect against damp and wind.
