Recordist's notes
the recording opens with the beautiful quiet solo of the solitary female bullfinch (pyrrhula pyrrhula) – note, especially, the occasional piercing high notes as if played on ocarina. other bullfinches approach her some time later and there is a bit of commotion among the females (you can clearly hear the fluttering of their wings and annoyed voices). throughout the recording, from the right side, right from the top of the slope where I made the recording, you can also hear the wind blowing through the needles of a sturdy spruce... recorded with uši pro and zoom F3
