Recordist's notes

The city and its wildlife are now very busy. A green woodpecker makes its laughing cry and nuthatches repeat their single note songs. Goshawks call in the distance. Great tits, ever active, find the microphones and, for a moment, are heard extremely close. Such events never happen if a human recordist is present in person.
