Recordist's notes
The hillside above Braník is woodland with tall trees and paths for jogging and dog walking. A reasonable variety of birds live there - woodpeckers, buzzards, nuthatches - their songs and calls mixing with the constant sound of traffic from the valley below. Planes roar overhead as they come in to land at Prague airport. This soundscape is very weather dependent. Wind direction particularly has a large effect on loudness of traffic noise and its mix with the woodland sounds. On this track a green woodpecker laughs, a chiffchaff, distant robin, buzzards and nuthatches are heard. Right at the end a local train blows its whistle before leaving Braník station.
