Recordist's notes

Greenlake, in the center of north Seattle, is very popular with joggers, bicyclists, roller bladers, skate boarders and dog walkers in summertime, but in the dead of winter it's almost perfectly still. Only the stoutest venture out in sub-freezing weather like this. I'm not one of them: I quit recording after 38 minutes. Major elements: * Mallards, seagulls, crows and one bald eagle wearing a stocking cap * A few hearty joggers * A Park Dept. employee (he had to be there) * Small planes and larger jets on approach to SeaTac * The everpresent rumble of Highway 99 See also: https://anode1.bandcamp.com/album/auss16-greenlake-in-winter
