Periodic beeps from overhead speakers along the Edmonds train platform warn commuters of the impending arrival of the southbound Everett-Mukilteo-Edmonds-Seattle passenger train, called the "Sounder." People can be heard queuing up to board the four cars, headed to exciting jobs downtown. The train pulls in, loads, and continues on its way.
