Recordist's notes
Halfway between the Edmonds train depot and Picnic Point, we stop at tiny Haines Wharf Park, which is the only public access to the railroad tracks in the high-priced real estate along the waterfront -- albeit fenced-off, long-abandoned, and posted "No Trespassing." We wait until a northbound freight rumbles past with nary a wave. The whole time I was waiting an unmarked security guard waited in his idling car behind me.
