Recordist's notes
This was an unexpected sound. Although i had spent a lot of time listening to the River at Fortescue i had never heard this sound before. The sound of fast flowing white water. Close to the bank of the river the sound was intense almost completely masking the sounds of conversation and passing trains. This was recorded with the internal microphones of a roland R-26.
