Recordist's notes
I placed the recorder on top of the shelter we have built over the patio. From here, it is in direct line with the Walnut tree, in which one of the garden Robins especially likes to sing. Very high up, on a top branch, one of the Robins stands from early in the morning, trilling his lovely little fluting and high-pitched song. I love the Robins so much and don't remember a time when there were so many in the garden all at once - what a gift it is in these bleak grey days to have the bright beauty of their song.
