Recordist's notes
Recorded at the Black Oak Dune Overlook at the Savanna Army Depot (former) which is being slowly converted into a wildlife refuge. A large, unknown number of unexploded ordnance (artillery shells and grenades mostly from WWI) remain buried in the ground here. Last bits of ice flowed down river, the sound of water lapping at the frozen shore can be heard beneath the gusts and noisy pines.
