Recordist's notes
Listening by the edge of a stream that passes the abbey, campers chat and laugh on the other side by a small derelict barn and occasionally cross over a small pedestrian bridge to use the toilets and return to their tents erected in the abbey gardens. As is the custom in this part of Normandy the bells give a two tone, descending ring for every quarter-of-an-hour that passes. (Fostex FR2-LE and Rode NT4a Stereo Microphone).
