Recordist's notes

The first recording was made with an H2n placed on the ground in the reverberant space under the Glendale Avenue Bridge crossing the Twelve Mile Creek. The site was the west side on a trail maybe 10 meters above creek level (variable because of nearby hydroelectric power generation) and perhaps about the same distance to the underside of the bridge. The second recording is 62 meters away on the pedestrian bridge where I dropped a hydrophone into the water; the current was quite swift. The bridge was built in 1975 replacing a single lane bridge built in 1912 and its story includes local government amalgamation and the rise of shopping centres in North America; the Pen Centre on Glendale Avenue was built in 1958.
