Recordist's notes
This is the sound of the waterwheel that used to power the mill. I am not sure if the National Woollen Museum was always a working wool factory, but many factories in the UK which would have historically produced wool would have taken some power from the rivers, and so this sound is an industrial sound, inexorably connected with historic textile production.
