Recordist's notes

An radio.earth audio stream was set up in the abandoned ex-Soviet miltary base of Vogelsang onJune 14 & 15. The weather was grey and unseasonably cool. The train horn reverberates through the forest, a song thrush and chaffinch sing. It is otherwise very quiet except for the low drone of far away traffic. It is a very atmospheric soundscape with sparse birdsong leaving much space and distance.
