Recordist's notes
Local trains run twice an hour on this line, where there are several small level crossings without barriers. The approaching trains always blast their horns in warning. The sound, and its reverberation around the countryside, can be heard for kilometers and is totally characteristic sound mark of this part of the Braunschweig. People frequently mention it as their special Braunschweig sound. This is a northbound train. It is a windy day. A chiffchaff and blackcap are singing.
