19 Albany Street was another address at which Catherine Hogarth lived in Edinburgh as a young girl. I went to stand outside this building, to listen to its ambiences and atmospheres, to play its railings, and to hear the sounds that are present now. Obviously, there is much traffic. However fortuitously there is also a loose paving stone on which one can invent mischievous percussion, and also the sound of some glass recycling being done elsewhere further down the street...
