Recordist's notes
Listening to the stream at length from this location give an idea of just how bird rich the area is. There is a constant succession of bird species and it is interesting to hear, which start first and which join later. Crows and robins are usually the earliest birds followed by the blackbird. Various tits (great tits, blue tits) are also busy early. But the thrushes, woodpeckers, nuthatches, chiffchaffs, finches wait a while. The geese, cranes and other water birds don't seem to have the same patterns; they can be very active anytime of night or day.
