Recordist's notes
This is the sound of the ducks on Amners Farm. You can hear a nearby road, the fence pinging with the ducks pecking underneath it to get at food with their bills, and the sounds of parents and children meeting and feeding the ducks. The much raspier sounds are produced by drakes, who have a hoarse, raspy little man-duck quack, whereas the noisier more authoritative voices belong to the females. I spotted all sorts of breeds including my favourite: Khaki Campbells!
